Who we are

We became international house sitters because it fits the way we live and work: we’re organised, home-based, and routine-first — which is exactly what keeps pets settled and homes running smoothly while owners travel.

Rob is a web entrepreneur and founder of Zenith Star Media, with a science/engineering background and a practical, maintenance-minded approach to property care. Linds brings a calm, attentive presence and a strong eye for day-to-day standards that homeowners notice immediately when they return.

We’re not “drop in and disappear” sitters. We show up, stay present, and keep things steady.

House & Pet Sitting: House and Pet Sitting for Homeowners (Long-Term & International)

Why homeowners choose us

House sitting works best when it feels low-stress for you — and stable for your pets. Homeowners who contact us are usually looking for:

  • Consistency (pets settle faster when routines don’t change)
  • Responsibility (someone who treats your home like it matters)
  • Communication (updates that reassure you while you travel)
  • A calm presence (especially for anxious pets or multi-pet homes)

Our standards are supported by verified reviews and references.

Our working rhythm (why long stays work so well)

We work online and have run our own businesses for years. That matters for international house sitters because it supports the kind of care homeowners actually want:

  • We can be present in the home day-to-day
  • Our days are naturally structured around reliable routines
  • We’re not treating your sit like a holiday — pets still get walked, fed, and settled on schedule
  • We keep household standards consistent so you return to a home that feels cared for

This is one reason we’re well suited to long-term house sitting and higher-responsibility households.

Practical home care & property stewardship

Beyond day-to-day housekeeping standards, we’re comfortable with the practical realities of living in someone else’s home — including older properties and homes with “quirks” that need respectful handling.

Rob has a strong maintenance mindset and practical skills. We take care of basics properly, notice small issues early, and handle common problems sensibly — then communicate clearly when something needs homeowner input or authorised support.

This is the difference between “someone stayed there” and a home that was actively looked after.

Gardening, growing systems & outdoor spaces

We’re comfortable keeping outdoor spaces steady during longer sits, including:

  • Outdoor gardens and general upkeep
  • Large-scale greenhouses
  • Hydroponic systems and plant care

Animal care experience (from pets to horses)

We have broad experience caring for animals across a wide range of sits and environments, including:

  • Dogs and cats (single and multi-pet homes)
  • Multi-pet routines with different temperaments and needs
  • Horses and equine sits (higher responsibility and time commitment)
  • Reptiles (including geckos and pythons)
  • Poultry, fish, and small pets
  • Farm-style environments (varies by sit and routine)

We’re also comfortable with routines that involve close observation, special handling needs, and — where appropriate — administering medication.

Archie — a professional part of the team

Archie travels with us on every sit and supports daily routines as part of a calm, responsible team approach — always aligned with what the homeowner is comfortable with and what the sit requires.

He’s practical, consistent, and genuinely enjoys helping with animal care and day-to-day tasks — especially on longer or more involved sits where steady rhythm matters most.

Communication that’s useful (not noise)

Clear communication is one of the biggest differences between an average sit and a great one.

Before you leave, we agree:

  • How often you want updates
  • Your preferred channel (often WhatsApp)
  • Whether you want photos/videos, and how frequently

Then we deliver that rhythm consistently — especially on longer stays.

Trust, reviews, and verification

We take trust seriously and keep verification clear.

We can provide:

  • Verified reviews (TrustedHousesitters)
  • Testimonials and references (including private sits)
  • Contactable references once a sit is shortlisted (privacy-respecting)

Fit matters (who we’re best suited for)

We’re a strong fit if you want:

  • Live-in house and pet sitting (not local drop-in visits)
  • A steady presence for weeks or months
  • Calm, routine-first care for pets
  • Clear, professional communication
  • Higher-responsibility care (multiple animals and/or horses)

If your sit involves something unusual — special routines, multiple animals, horses, medication schedules, or higher reporting expectations — tell us early. We’ll confirm expectations clearly before committing.

As international house sitters, we prioritise long-term, premium-fit households where steadiness and standards matter.

Frequently asked questions

  • 🗓️ Short sits — sometimes (timing + requirements)
  • 🏡 Not “near me” — live-in only (no drop-ins)
  • 🤝 Exchange sits — selectively, for simpler routines
  • 📞 References — available once shortlisted
  • 🌍 International travel — yes, worldwide for the right fit
  • 💼 Premium/paid — available when responsibility increases
Do you take short sits?

Sometimes, depending on timing and requirements. We prioritise long-term sits, but we’re open to the right fit.

Do you do local “near me” pet sitting services?

No. We focus on live-in pet sitting services and house sitting, not local drop-in visits.

Do you accept exchange sits?

Yes — selectively. Exchange arrangements can be a great fit for simpler routines. Where responsibility increases (especially horses or multi-animal care), premium/paid arrangements may be more appropriate.

Can we speak to a previous homeowner?

Yes — where appropriate. We share contactable references once a sit is genuinely shortlisted, with privacy respected on both sides.

Will you travel internationally?

Yes. We’re international house sitters and we’re happy to travel worldwide when a sit is a strong fit. For premium/paid arrangements, travel costs are often covered by the homeowner by agreement (especially when dates are time-sensitive).

Do you take paid / premium assignments?

Yes. We accept exchange arrangements selectively for simpler routines, and we also offer premium/paid arrangements when responsibility increases (for example: horses, multi-animal routines, medication schedules, sanctuary-scale care, or higher-touch reporting).
